Provide Hotlink Protection

This article will show you how to use HotLink protection, which prevents other websites from directly linking to files on your website.

  1. Login to your cPanel Web Host manager at http://ipaddress:2086 as root.
  2. Go to your List Accounts, in the Find option, type list and select List Accounts
  3. From the middle pane, click on the cPanel logo next to the domain you wish to manage.
  4. Under the Security option, select Hot Link Protection option.
  5. Make sure HotLink Protection is enabled, click the Enable button
  6. Any URLS you wish to exclude and allow hotlinking, list them in the box below
  7. You can also select extensions to allow, and url to redirect to.
  8. Click Submit to finish
