Managing A Firewall In Plesk 10

  1. Log into the Plesk 10 control panel by going to Https://Your_IP:8443. You will need to login as the Plesk Administrator to make any changes to the firewall.

  3. Once logged in, proceed to the "Server Management" section and click on "Firewall".

  5. By default there will be the generic rules in place. However to customize the security of your server, you will need to click on "Edit Firewall Configuration" to modify or add new rules.

  7. To add a new rule, click on "Add Custom Rule".

  8. To create a new rule you will need to provide the specifics and also the rule name. Once you have completed this, click "Ok".

  9. To active the new rule, you will need to place a check into the checkbox next to the rule and click on activate.

  10. If the new changes are preventing a critical service or function from working, you can revert any changes by clicking on the "Revert" and any changes you made to the firewall will be reverted.
