Fetching emails in Horde
Horde, one of our web based email programs, consist of an option which allows you to get emails from other email accounts.
Caution: If the other email account contains a large amount of data, we advise you do this during off-peak hours to help avoid high loads on your server.
Login to Horde via webmail. (http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail)
Expand the Mail category on the left.
Click on the Inbox.
Go to the top and click Options.
Under the Message Options column, click Fetch Mail.
Click on Edit your preferences for accessing other mail accounts.
Choose the "Create a New Account" button.
Under Mail server type to connect to:, choose IMAP/POP 3 Mail Servers.
Now, fill in other mail account details as below:
Account's name: Enter whatever you like
Protocol: Select the protocol you use for this mail account
Username: Enter full name of email address for account that will be fetched (e.g. user@yourdomain.com)
Password: Enter password
Server: Enter mail.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with actual domain name)
Remote Mailbox: Enter full email address (same as username)
Local Mailbox: Select mailbox that you want to transfer from
Note: You are required to select "Fetch messages upon logging on?"
Once you have entered above information, click the "Create" button to complete the setup.
Return to Inbox, and at the top click Fetch Mail.
Select the new email account and click the "Fetch Mail" button.
You will get a message Fetchmail: Fetched [number of] messages from [Account's name].
