POP3 and IMAP Email Account Configuration Details to Setup an Outlook?

 

For POP3 ACCOUNT:

Pop3 stands for post office protocol. In POP3 protocol you receive emails from remote server to your outlook. When you use pop3 protocol messages are downloaded in your outlook and removed from sever.

 

For Linux Hosting:

Without SSL:

 

Ø  Incoming Server: mail.yourdomain.com

Ø  Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.com

Ø  Username: Your email address

Ø  Password: Your Email account password

Ø  Incoming Port: POP3 110

Ø  Outgoing Mail server (SMTP) Port: 25, 26 or 587

Ø  SSL: No

Ø  SMTP Authentication Required

 

With SSL:

 

Ø    Incoming Server: mail.yourdomain.com

Ø    Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.com

Ø    Username: Your email address

Ø    Password: Your Email account password

Ø    Outgoing Mail server (SMTP) Port: 465

Ø    SSL: Yes

Ø    SMTP Authentication Required
