Why Should You Generate CSR in Plesk?
A CSR or a Certificate Signing Request is required to activate a digital SSL certificate. It is usually generated on the server where the certificate needs to be installed.
In other words, if you want to generate an SSL certificate, you’d need to submit a CSR to the Certificate Authority.

- Login to Plesk Panel
- Click on Select Domains
- Select SSL/TLS Certificate
- Fill the Details in the Request Certificate Wizard
- Click on the Request Button
- Click on Certificate Name
- The CSR Key is Generated
Step – 1
Login to Plesk Panel

Step – 2
Click on Select Domains
In your Plesk Panel, select “Hosting Services” and then click on “Select Domains”. Further, click “SSL/TSL Certificate”.

Moving on, click on the “Add SSL/TSL Certificate”
2. Fill the Details in the Request Certificate Wizard
Afterwards, a Request Certificate wizard would appear, you’d need to fill in the following details in it:
- Certificate name:
- Bits:
- Country name:
- State or Province:
- City:
- Organization name:
- Organization Department:
- Domain name:
- Email:
Step – 3
Click on the Request Button
After you’ve carefully and correctly filled in the details required, click the “request” button.
Following this, the CSR and Private Key will be added at (Domains > xyz.com > SSL/TSL Certificates).

Step – 4
Click on Certificate Name
Earlier, while filling the details in the Request Certificate, you entered the Certificate Name, right?
Now, click on the Certificate Name that you entered before, in order to open the CSR key.
Step – 5
The CSR Key is generated
Your work here is almost done!
Following your click on the “Certificate Name”, the CSR key for the online order process at your selected SSL Authority would be generated.
