Migrating From cPanel To Plesk

This article explains the process of migrating an account from a cPanel hosted server to a Plesk hosted server. Please note this article assumes that you already have an accountrunning on the cPanel hosted server you are migrating from , a Plesk server that you are migrating to and at least 2 IP addresses. Lastly please make sure that your Plesk server has the migration tool already installed, otherwise you will not be able to migrate the hosting account.

  1. To begin the migration you will need to log into the Plesk server as the migration will occur here. Once you have logged in you will need to access the Migration manager tool. This can be found at Home > Help & Support > Migration Manager.

If you have multiple free IP addresses, you can choose a different IP from the drop down field. If you don't have any free IP addresses available, you will need to create a IP managing file. This will enabled Plesk to direct the content to an existing IP address, however this is not recommended and if you need an additional IP address, please content our Cloud/VPS/Dedicated support department.
