Through cPanel, you can easily change the document root for addon and subdomains.
How to do that?
You can either get your Pakistani hosting company’s support team to do this for you or simply follow these easy steps below:
Step 1: Log in to Your cPanel Account
In order to change the document root, you would first have to log into your cPanel account that’s provided by your web hosting company in Pakistan.
Enter the required credentials and click on the ‘login’ button.
Step 2: Click on “Domains” in the Domains Section
Once you’ve logged into your cPanel account, scroll down to go to the Domains section and then click on “Domains”.
Step 3: Click on the “Manage” Button
Now, click the manage button in front of the domain for which you wish to change the document root.
Step 4: Enter the New Document Root
Once you’ve clicked on the “Manage” button, you’d see the option of “New Document Root”, under this option you can add the new document root folder.
Step 5: Click on the “Update” Button to Finish
Lastly, click on the “Update” button to save the changes that you’ve made, and you’re done!
